Top Ten Tuesday: Children’s TV

Standard

O may only be three months old, but he really enjoys watching cartoons – and television in general. Some may feel we’re introducing O to a life of laziness and electronics-obsession, but I’m going to let my infant enjoy his life right now. Eventually, we’ll limit his exposure to electronics, but right now both him, my hubs and I enjoy watching TV together. Below I’ve listed the Top 10 children’s TV shows that we enjoy. If you haven’t seen them yet, I definitely recommend checking them out. You will notice that almost all of the shows below are on PBS Kids. We’re big fans of PBS in general, so that’s why you’ll see so many shows we love on the top 10 list.

  1. Dinosaur Train (PBS Kids)
  2. Peg + Cat (PBS Kids)
  3. The Cat in the Hat Knows  a Lot About That (PBS Kids)
  4. Curious George (PBS Kids)
  5. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (PBS Kids)
  6. Sesame Street (PBS Kids)
  7. Looney Tunes (a classic from when I was a kid!)
  8. Scooby Doo (another classic!)
  9. Tom & Jerry (classic!)
  10. Charlie Brown Specials (these are seasonal, but O loves them!)

Although not technically children’s shows, O really, really enjoys watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Steve Harvey Show on NBC! We’ve been watching Ellen together on weekdays since he was born and we started watching Steve Harvey in January. In addition to talk shows, we also love Pawn Stars on History Channel. We have watched that together since day one at home from the hospital!

Until next week! -themidwestmama
